The steps

From sign-up
to affidavit.

1

Set up your account

Complete the short form and choose pay per job or a monthly subscription. We email you an invitation to our secure platform.

2

Upload the job

Send the documents to be served and the details of the party to be served. Choose routine or rush.

3

We dispatch

A licensed Manhattan server is assigned. Routine: first attempt within 3 to 7 business days. Rush: 1 to 3.

4

Track every attempt

Each attempt is GPS and time-stamped with a photo and a same-day note, visible as it happens.

5

Get your affidavit

We prepare the affidavit of service, or non-service, and deliver it digitally.

6

File with the court

You file the executed affidavit with the court and track related deadlines.

What to send

The more we know,
the faster we serve.

Always include

  • The documents to be served, complete and final
  • The full name of the party to be served
  • The full address, including apartment or suite number
  • Your deadline, if any

Helpful extras

  • A physical description or photo of the person
  • Best times to find them
  • Work address, if known
  • Building notes: doorman, buzzer, security desk

Serving a business

  • The exact legal name of the company
  • The registered agent, if known
  • An officer or managing agent's name, if known
  • Business hours at the location
Avoiding a non-service

Small details
make the difference.

Check the address

Most non-services come from a missing apartment number, an old address, or a party who has moved. Double-check before you send.

Authorize an address search

If the party may have moved, authorize an address search (skip tracing). The search fee applies only if we find and serve them.

Consider nail and mail

For individuals at home, authorizing nail and mail gives the server a lawful option if personal and substitute service fail.

How it plays out

Typical Manhattan
scenarios.

Scenario

Doorman building · Upper East Side

The doorman won't allow the server upstairs and the party doesn't answer the intercom. The server returns before 9 AM on a different day, the party comes down to the lobby, and personal service is made. Every attempt, including the doorman's statements, is in the narrative with a GPS photo.

Scenario

Company defendant · Midtown

The client sends a summons for a corporation. The server delivers it to the registered agent's intake desk, records the intake specialist's name, title, and description, and the affidavit is prepared from that record.

Scenario

Party moved · Harlem

On the first attempt, the current resident says the party moved. The client had authorized an address search, which finds a new Manhattan address. The original job closes as a non-service, and the new address is served as a new job.

Illustrative scenarios based on how jobs typically run in Manhattan. They are not specific client cases.

FAQ

Questions,
answered.

How fast is the first attempt?

Routine service: within 3 to 7 business days. Rush service: within 1 to 3 business days. Turnaround is counted from when we receive a complete job.

Do you file the affidavit with the court?

No. We prepare and deliver the executed affidavit, and you file it with the court.

What if the person has moved?

If you authorize it, we run an address search. If the new address is outside Manhattan, we give it to you at no search charge.
